We are uniquely placed as a design team situated in India where all functions of Automotive Battery Management Systems/wireless BMS system converge - system design & applications, IC Design, software, test & characterization. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high performing chip design team that has entire end-to-end - analog/digital design, design verification, front end design and back end design capabilities within India, which includes owning chips from requirements to silicon to production. The digital design and implementation team gets involved at the architecture phase of the chip and gets involved in all activities till chip production including support of test and applications teams. The designs we own are across low power transceivers, safety microcontrollers to high voltage battery monitoring sensors, hence spanning chips that have large digital or/as well as large analog content.
The digital design team will be responsible for digital architecture planning and partitioning, collaborating with analog engineers to define mixed-signal interfaces, System Verilog and VHDL based digital design, simulation, design quality checking, design for test and test pattern generation, synthesis, floor planning, place and route, logic equivalence checking, static timing analysis, participating in chip and block level verification planning, documenting designs, and collaborating with physical validation team and applications team to support silicon evaluation and customer interactions.

Job Levels available: Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer
Minimum Qualification: BSEE/MSEE degree and experience in chip design or physical design implementation. Job level will be commensurate with experience.
Positions Available: Digital Design Engineering
Desired Skill Sets: (not every applicant will have all of these skills)
Digital Design
- Expertise and strong hands-on experience in RTL design using System Verilog or VHDL
- Digital system architecture, Processor subsystem architecture and block definition
- Experience working on complex SoCs
- RTL design quality analysis
- Good understanding of digital design Synthesis, DFT and Static Timing Analysis
- Basic understanding of mixed-signal designs
- Experience with defining test bench architecture at block and subsystem level
- Experience with defining test plans, relevant checkers, and coverage metrics
- Experience with gate level simulations and debug
- Experience in automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) is a plus
- Experience in digital verification is a plus
- Experience with Cadence tools is a plus
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Perl is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
