Position SummaryWe are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build, manage and optimise the infrastructure powering Hyperstack’s GPU cloud platform.
In this role you will work closely with engineering and platform teams to automate deployments, improve system reliability and ensure the platform operates with high availability and performance at scale.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments, combined with a practical mindset for troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Development
Design, implement and maintain infrastructure solutions supporting Hyperstack’s GPU cloud platform.
Automation & CI/CD
Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines that streamline software releases and platform updates.
Platform Reliability & Performance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal availability and reliability across the platform.
Infrastructure as Code
Develop and maintain infrastructure configurations using infrastructure-as-code practices.
Monitoring & Observability
Implement monitoring, logging and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve operational issues.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with development, infrastructure and security teams to ensure best practices across deployment, reliability and system performance.
Platform Optimisation
Continuously identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation and scalability.
Technical Skills
- 3–4+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong scripting ability using Python and shell scripting
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms, ideally OpenStack
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with monitoring, logging and system observability tools
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and infrastructure teams
- Clear communication and documentation practices
- Ability to work in fast-moving technical environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Flask
- Familiarity with task queues such as Celery
- Exposure to GPU infrastructure, AI or HPC environments
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum engineering teams
- Understanding of machine learning or AI infrastructure workloads
