Join Nu Quantum - Shaping the Future of Technology

Nu Quantum is creating the Entanglement Fabric for quantum computing scale-out. Quantum computing can solve some of the world’s biggest problems, but these applications require systems that are thousands of times more powerful than those available today.

Our networking architecture will unlock data centre-scale quantum computing by weaving together quantum processors to accelerate the path to fault-tolerance and transformational utility. Founded in 2018, Nu Quantum is a spin-out of the University of Cambridge’s Cavendish Laboratory.

You will have experience with HPC environments including working with job schedulers such as Slurm, and you will be responsible for helping us provide overflow capacity on AWS.

  • Experience deploying and using monitoring and observability tools e.g. Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously and work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Able to be hands on, create processes and then train others on best practice.

Desirable (nice to have but not required)

  • Experience developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery procedures.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
