About the role:
As the DevOps Engineer, you’ll be joining a dedicated team responsible for delivering a core automation roadmap — part of an enterprise-wide effort to improve our build processes, deployment patterns, and infrastructure scalability. This role will focus specifically on the Windows and IIS stack, with a heavy emphasis on automation and optimising deployment pipelines using PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure DevOps tools.
You’ll help redesign our deployment patterns from the ground up, supporting everything from development through to performance environments. With a DevOps mindset, you’ll contribute to a more agile, responsive way of working that reduces friction, streamlines release processes, and ultimately enables faster delivery of change.
As the DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Supporting the implementation of the Roadmap, focused on automating build and deployment processes
- Designing and maintaining automation for cloud platform modules using Terraform
- Creating and maintaining application deployment scripts using PowerShell
- Installing, configuring, and securing IIS servers and web applications
- Managing artefact repositories (code, binaries) and deploying packages to IIS
- Enabling cloud-native monitoring and supporting automated observability practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on patterns and common working practices
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to product roadmaps
- Demonstrable experience in Windows Server administration and web application deployment
- Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation
- Proven experience with IIS configuration: setting up websites, application pools, bindings, and implementing security measures (SSL/TLS, access controls)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience deploying artefacts to IIS and managing end-to-end automation pipelines
- An Agile, team-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and collaboration
