Job Description Summary: The Internal Development Representative plays a key role in growing and retaining our industrial customer base. Acting as a bridge between counter sales activities and more strategic account management, they are responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities within our existing and potential customer base. This role combines internal sales, customer service, and business development skills to ensure continued growth and increased customer satisfaction. The incumbent will work closely with the director and account managers to maximize our market presence and achieve our sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify high-potential prospects.

  • Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their needs.

  • Manage sales opportunities and prepare bids.

  • Collaborate with internal sales teams and account managers.

  • Provide excellent customer service and follow up regularly.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and produce reports.

  • Stay informed about products and industry trends.

Required qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalent experience in sales or business development.

  • Experience in internal sales or customer service (industrial environment, an asset).

  • Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and supplies (an asset).

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build relationships and work in a team.

  • Proficiency in computer tools and CRM.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Customer focus, initiative, teamwork, problem solving.
