Job Purpose:

This role is within the Derivative Confirmations Middle Office team, covering GSP Rates and Equity Derivatives. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing & welcoming team, who directly interact with over 200 global clients and support our trading desk across 3 key regions (Europe, Asia and the United States). 

 

The analyst will be responsible for the follow up and execution of the trade Confirmation agreements, in line with our Regulatory and internal SLAs

This is a high profile global team with exposure to large volumes of trades and high value items. The role involves daily engagement with clients, internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to reconcile exception items and identify/resolve root cause.

 

The successful candidate will receive supportive training and a personal development plan to help them succeed within this role and develop their career at Citi.
Responsibilities:

  • Review service quality, production systems, and client reporting within Derivative Confirmations

  • Regular communication with Internal Clients and Stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Trading Desk, and other Middle Office groups globally.  

  • Analyse complex and variable issues to resolve issues and ensure team deliverables meet performance and quality expectations

  • Enhance our client experience by identifying process improvements to increase the automation and accuracy of the trade confirmation generation

  • Review and analyse the performance of the Confirmations team against of Regulatory commitments and identify areas or concern for improvement.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience in Finance or Legal setting preferred.

  • Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance

  • Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
