MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:

As a Deal Desk Analyst (Senior Associate) at Kainos, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that a high-quality service is provided to the Sales Team via the Deal Desk within the Digital Services/Workday business unit, demonstrating best practice throughout. 

You’ll work as part of the a Deal Desk team and report into the Deal Desk Manager. It’s a fast-paced environment so it is important for you to ensure that workload is prioritised, and tasks completed in a timely manner. 

As a Senior Associate you will take ownership of specific processes within the team. You should also have the ability to delegate tasks through the PMO team, providing priorities, guidance and support. You may also be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of the junior PMO Assistants.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of Product Deals with Sales, Pre-Sales, Security and Commercial
  • Production, Review, Versioning and circulation of Sales Proposals
  • Production, Review, Versioning of Order Forms for New Business, Upsell & Renewal
  • Allocation of staffing and prioritisation for Pre-Sales
  • Prioritisation of Deals with Commercial
  • Owning of key functions within the Deal Desk team.
  • Coordinate and complete RFP Responses.
  • Coordinate and complete Security Questionnaire responses.
  • Actively identifying and implementing process improvements.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade A*-C), or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office including excel spreadsheet skills, and the ability to pick up new software applications
  • Excellent organisational skills and confidence in acting as the first point of contact by managing the teams group e-mail and arranging initial meetings with project managers.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
  • Effective personal time management and planning skills to deliver a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in tight timeframes/targets.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement within processes and procedures and identify continuous improvements for your team.
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting others to deliver tasks and shared outcomes.
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiatives with minimal supervision but escalate as required
  • We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial
  • Ability to make sound decisions, under pressure, taking a balanced view of customer needs, Kainos requirements and any impact to others.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working in order management, deals desk or similar role
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
  • Ability to present quality documentation in MS Word or MS Powerpoint
  • Experience in managing the daily workflow of the team and ensuring service level agreements are achieved. 
  • Demonstrate negotiating and influencing skills. 
  • Experience with ticketing systems (JIRA, Servicenow)
