About the role:
We are looking for a part-time Data Student Assistant to support our Products & Analytics team. In this role, you will contribute to delivering analyses to the commercial organization, build and maintain reports in PowerBI, and document the underlying data structures to ensure transparency and long-term usability.
Our primary tools include SQL, PowerBI, and DBT. If you have an interest in data engineering, you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, Python, and Terraform.

You will join a small, collaborative team consisting of one Senior Data Analyst, one Data Engineer, and one Student Assistant. Our way of working emphasizes pairing or mobbing on tasks, knowledge sharing, and a focus on delivering value-creating insights rather than simply producing output. This provides a solid learning environment while maintaining clear expectations and professional standards.
We operate on a mature data platform, and because our team covers both data engineering and analytics, we have limited external dependencies that impact our delivery. This enables us to work efficiently and take ownership of our solutions from end to end.

- Analytics: Assist the data team in ad-hoc analytics requests, preparing reports, and generating insights to support business decisions
- PowerBI: Build and manage reports and dashboards in PowerBI, ensuring data is accurately represented and visually appealing. Collaborate with team members to refine visualisations and add features that enhance data storytelling, and maintain existing reports by updating data sources and incorporating user feedback
- Project management support: Assist in managing larger data projects by assisting with project planning, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Documentation: assist in documentation tasks for the team. This includes documenting processes, data management practices, and other relevant information
What we are looking for:
The role is well-suited for a student pursuing a degree in data science, analytics, economics, computer science, or a related field who is looking to apply academic knowledge in a structured, fast-paced and professional setting. More specifically:
- Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably related to Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar.
- Good analytical mindset and comfortable working with data
- Detail-oriented and structured
- High level of abstract reasoning
