Data Analyst

At BuildOps, we’re building the foundation for how data flows, scales, and empowers every decision we make. We're looking for a hands-on Data Architect to lead the evolution of our data platform and data tooling architecture. You’ll help us unlock insights, accelerate development, and build world-class infrastructure to support everything from customer onboarding to product intelligence.

This isn’t a “keep the lights on” kind of role. You’ll own the next generation architecture and strategy across our stack — including AWS, Snowflake, DBT, Airbyte, and more — while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations to ensure our data is clean, scalable, and always driving value.

What You'll Do

• Customer Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success, Marketing, Revenue teams to understand industry reporting needs.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on progress and ensure a tailored solution for maximum impact.
• Report & Dashboard Development:
  • Design, develop, and deliver reports and dashboards using business intelligence platforms such as Sigma Computing.
  • Work with internal teams to build “Best Practice Reporting Packages” tailored to specific client profiles (based on size, trade, department structure, etc.)
• Business Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze customer data to uncover trends, provide actionable insights, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
• Process Optimization & Standardization:
  • Develop and maintain a repository of standardized and customized reporting templates for efficiency and consistency.
  • Continuously optimize reporting processes to improve turnaround times and enhance the value provided to customers
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with internal technical teams to address data gaps, improve data quality, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers & Data Engineers to provide customer feedback on Reporting usability and/or functionality gaps.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, report writing, or a similar role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in business intelligence platforms (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI)
• Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and Python.
• Understanding of modern data pipeline architecture.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey insights effectively to diverse audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
