We are looking for a Data Analyst to provide data assessment, data extraction and data integration. This position will be full-time and hybrid work setup.
What You'll Do
Data Assessment and Planning:
Evaluate existing data sources, structures, and formats to understand migration requirements.
Collaborate with Data Owners to define migration objectives, scope, and timelines.
Develop and execute data migration strategies that align with organizational goals.
Data Extraction and Transformation:
Extract data from legacy systems, identify discrepancies, and prepare data for migration.
Use data transformation tools to clean, format, and standardize data according to the target system’s specifications.
Perform data mapping to ensure consistency and compatibility with the new environment.
Creation of query and load scripts/tool (data migration ETL Tool).
Data Loading and Integration:
Load data into the target system while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and loading processes.
Quality Assurance and Validation:
Perform rigorous testing of migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Conduct post-migration validation and reconciliations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
Provide ongoing support for data issues that arise post-migration.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document migration processes and issues for future reference and auditing purposes.
Provide regular updates to project team on progress, issues, and risks.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with IT teams, data analysts, and business data owners to understand requirements and provide solutions.
Ensure clear communication of technical and non-technical aspects of data migration activities.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Deep knowledge on Material Management (Master Data and Transaction Data). Knowledge on SAP Real Estate module is a plus.
Proven experience in data migration, data management, or data integration projects.
Fast learner with ETL tools (ex. Precisely, BODS, LSMW) and scripting languages.
Solid knowledge of data mapping, data transformation, and data validation processes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Experience with specific industry tools or platforms (SAP ECC, SAP S4/HANA, Precisely).
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
Physical Demands
