The Country Manager for Montu Germany is a critical leadership role that combines strategic direction with practical, hands-on management. This role requires someone who enjoys getting involved in the operational details while simultaneously shaping and driving strategic growth initiatives.

You’ll manage daily operations, lead market-entry strategies, and actively engage key stakeholders to establish Montu’s presence in Germany. You'll collaborate closely with teams across clinical operations, customer success, regulatory, logistics, technology, finance, talent, and product, replicating and building upon Montu’s successes in Australia and the UK.

This position is ideally suited for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments, loves building from the ground up, and wants direct involvement in operational execution alongside strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient management of the German team.

  • Develop, implement, and execute Montu Germany’s strategic and operational plans to drive sustainable growth.

  • Manage and own the P&L for Montu Germany.

  • Actively create and execute go-to-market strategies, adapting quickly to evolving market demands.

  • Identify and leverage new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

  • Implement and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) in key operational areas including patient onboarding, logistics, clinical consultations, and compliance.

  • Hands-on recruitment, training, and development of staff, building a cohesive local team.

  • Collaborate directly with Regulatory, Product, Commercial, and Partnerships teams to ensure operational alignment and optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of German and global medical cannabis markets for effective commercial and regulatory decision-making.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational effectiveness.

  • Actively participate in external marketing and PR activities as necessary.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in operations, business development, or market-entry roles, ideally in fast-paced environments or regulated sectors.

  • Practical experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, logistics, or medical cannabis is highly beneficial.

  • Proven track record of launching or scaling businesses, implementing robust operational processes, and leading small-to-medium teams effectively.

  • Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Clear and effective communicator, comfortable interacting with various stakeholders at different levels.

  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
