About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to play a key role in driving sales and marketing efforts for our corporate and commercial real estate (CRE) client base.
In this position, you will work closely with senior Rates and FX sales professionals, Banking Relationship Managers, as well as trading, structuring, and other internal partners to deliver comprehensive risk management solutions. Your focus will be on supporting Wells Fargo's corporate and financial sponsor clients by providing tailored strategies and exceptional service.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide a wide variety of task such as analyse, aggregate, and present materials for the marketing of derivative products
  • Perform tasks in support of transactions, price and execute interest rate and currency transactions directly with clients
  • Provide daily front office support functions, including, but not limited to trade processing and responding to customer service requests. Collaborate and consult to develop client pitch materials and deal documents
  • Generate interest rate and currency market updates as relevant for client engagement
  • Provide analytical support for corporate finance, traders, and senior sales team
  • Build a deeper understanding of interest rate and FX risk management techniques
  • Work effectively with all support areas to deliver a superior client experience
  • Prioritize to successfully execute a wide range of internal processes, client requests, and transactions of varying
  • complexity
  • Drive constant process improvement and find efficiencies across the platform
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory rules, for example MiFID, EMIR, Dodd Frank etc
  • Adhering to the risk fundamentals and appropriately escalating any conduct and risk issues to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Investment Banking Program, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Previous Securities Sales experience preferably in markets derivative
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy (default)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (default)
  • Strong interest in financial markets (in particular interest rates and foreign exchange) and derivatives
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Energetic self-starter who is flexible, organized, conscientious, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic, initiative and desire to learn
  • Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience developing presentation and spreadsheet materials
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively internally and externally.
Job Expectations:
This position is deemed to be a Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. You must at all times remain fit and proper to perform your role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
