As a Controls Assurance Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk landscape within our Everyday Banking Risk team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality risk assurance and advisory services across the Product, Sustainability and Marketing (PSM) division, driving the controls assurance strategy and plan for a diverse portfolio.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll enable and mature PSM’s management of risks within appetite while operationalising Westpac New Zealand’s risk management strategy. You’ll provide practical support and coaching opportunities to uplift risk knowledge and maturity within PSM. Collaboration is key - you’ll foster a culture of engagement and mutual support across PSM, broader risk and compliance teams, and other divisions in the bank to ensure alignment and shared success.

If you’re passionate about risk management, thrive on building strong partnerships, and want to make a tangible impact on everyday banking, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
