Job responsibilities
- Control and Operational Risk Evaluation Framework: Manage the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) program. Focusing on four areas: Control Design & Expertise, Risks & Controls Identification/Assessment, Issues & Control Deficiencies and Control Governance & Reporting.
- Operational Risk Management: Partner effectively with colleagues across the firm's, Business, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Technology functions to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices and control programs, including risk mitigation, key risk indicators, control design, and performance evaluations.
- Firmwide Programs: Manage key Firmwide initiatives including but not limited to Marketing and Customer Experience across International Consumer Bank Globally and for Firm's Strategy & Growth Office (SGO). Constantly assessing the effectiveness of governance relative to established programs, business processes, and the direction the firm is taking.
- Regulatory Engagements: Support global regulatory interactions/relationships/exams and subsequent Matter Requiring Actions (MRA) for International Consumer Bank Globally including but not limited to Marketing and Customer Experience.
- Policy and Standards compliance: Monitor operational practices in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies, and regulations to maintain an effective control environment. Responsible for portfolio of key metrics to inform on the health of the operational risk and control environment.
- Training and Other Control Initiatives: Manage projects and initiatives relating to risk and controls
- Identify, assess, advise, and drive strategic solutions to increase efficiency, create a more resilient operating environment and ensure effectiveness of key controls.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience in, or working with, Audit / Controls/ Operational Risk Management at a large, financial organization. Knowledge of Marketing, Customer Experience, Open Banking and Change Management processes is a big plus.
- Experience across conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessment reviews and management of operational risk issues, with new product launches and/or product change.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Power Point and Excel; Jira and Confluence

- Strong attention to detail, control mindset and business analysis skills
- Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with senior management
- Great communication skills, including active listening and the ability to capture and deliver key takeaways.
