ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and delivery-focused Contractor, Technical Project Management Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a role in driving successful project execution within our technology group, leveraging their expertise in Agile frameworks, project management tools, and large-scale PMO processes to deliver results in a dynamic and high-growth environment. 

 

This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage complex, multi-staged projects and will serve as a key contributor to process improvement, aligning with organisational goals and objectives in a financial services setting. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments utilising Jira and Confluence extensively for project tracking, documentation, and team collaboration. 

  • Apply Agile metrics, including velocity, cycle time, burndown charts, and custom dashboards, to monitor progress and optimise performance. 

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. 

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and reviews, to drive team alignment and delivery. 

  • Foster clear, timely, and transparent communication across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and priorities. 

  • Promote continuous improvement leading productive and goal-oriented meetings, driving stakeholder engagement and collaboration. 

  • Ensure project execution is aligned with business objectives, adhering to agreed timelines and deliverables. 

  • Take full ownership and accountability for assigned projects, driving meaningful and measurable outcomes. 

  • Leverage experience working in large-scale Project Management Office (PMO) environments, effectively managing multiple teams, competing priorities and operational scalability. 

  • Balance hands-on execution and strategic planning to align with enterprise objectives. 

 

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) required 

  • 5+ years of project management experience, specifically in a financial services environment. 

  • Proven track record of managing multi-staged, complex projects. 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PRINCE2, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred 

  • Familiarity with project and portfolio management tools and proficient in their application (specifically the Atlassian suite of tools) preferred

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with all organizational levels. 

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to address unexpected challenges and facilitate solutions. 

  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying, analyzsing, and mitigating project risks. 

  • Cultural and Emotional Intelligence: Ability to manage and lead cross-cultural teams, understanding diverse perspectives and promoting an inclusive environment. 

  • Change Management: Proficient in guiding teams through change, ensuring smooth transitions and adaptations to new processes or strategies.
