Summary of the Role

The Purpose of the Role is to support the development of a sustainable Lean culture by driving the elimination of waste and enabling flow of value to the customer.

The CI Specialist will demonstrate responsibility for the deployment of Lean Thinking and Practices, Implementation of Improvement Projects and support of daily activities, ensuring alignment with Global Operational Excellence.

This role is predominantly based on site and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced organisation during a period of rapid and extensive growth.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a dedicated CI team

  • Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement projects to streamline operations.
  • Analyse and enhance operational and business processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Implement project plans and monitor progress to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Educate and empower employees in Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Maintain KPIs and ensure project targets are met within specified timelines.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.
  • Contribute to documenting best practices .
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and support the site's strategy and vision.

Key Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years experience of working in a lean project environment, successfully implementing continuous improvement solutions, either individually or as part of a team
  • Yellow Belt or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in delivery of improvements and a desire to work as part of a dedicated continuous improvement team
  • Strong team player able to demonstrate ability to lead and facilitate informal and formal teams in the development and delivery of improvement solutions.
  • Ability to work across the entire organisation and work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Must be able to co-ordinate multiple activities concurrently, whilst consistently be meeting tight deadlines
  • Hands on approach to problem solving and mind set, organised and methodical.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract critical information to enable effective and appropriate decision making.
  • Understanding of Stakeholder management tools in order to ensure engagement in change at all levels, e.g. Communication plans, RACI, SIPOC
  • Willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge
  • Some experience of working as part of Continuous Improvement Teams
