This role plays a key part in identifying, shaping and delivering impactful change across our transport network, working in close partnership with operational teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to drive performance, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
With a strong focus on data-led decision making, the role translates operational challenges into practical, sustainable solutions, owning improvement activity from identification through to implementation and benefit realisation. From analysing transport performance and uncovering efficiency opportunities to supporting network-wide improvement initiatives, the position combines analytical thinking with hands-on delivery.
The role also works collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure improvement opportunities are prioritised, tracked and embedded effectively, using performance insight and structured governance to deliver measurable outcomes and support wider business objectives.
We're looking for someone with strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex operational data, identify root causes and turn insight into action. A technically confident individual, comfortable using tools such as Excel and Power BI to monitor performance, measure success and support evidence-based decision making.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and structured problem solver with excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence, challenge constructively and build strong relationships across a broad network. A resilient, self-motivated mindset is key, alongside a passion for continuous improvement and delivering tangible results in a fast-paced logistics environment.
NB This role is based out of our Castle Donington but some travel across our transport Network will be required
What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
Drive Business Improvement Initiatives – Identify, shape and implement transport-focused improvement initiatives across the logistics network, from business case development through to delivery
Use Data-Driven Insights – Analyse performance data to identify trends, uncover opportunities and translate insight into practical, actionable solutions
- Deliver the Transport CI Strategy – Support the delivery of the transport continuous improvement agenda, driving efficiency, performance improvements and measurable savings
Collaborate Across Functions – Partner with M&S operations teams and third-party logistics providers to deliver improvements at both network and site level
- Track Financial Performance – Monitor and report on the delivery of business cases, ensuring benefits are realised and risks are identified early.

Your skills and experience will include
Strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex data, identify trends and root causes, and translate insight into practical solutions
Highly proficient in data and digital tools, including Excel, Power BI and AI-enabled technologies to drive efficiency, automation and performance improvements
Strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex challenges and develop scalable, business-focused solutions
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, building strong partnerships and influencing effectively across a diverse network
