We thrive on the power of different perspectives and experiences, knowing they drive innovation and bring us closer to our users. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, providing employment opportunities without regard to age, ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy or maternity, marriage and civil partnership, or any other protected status. We’re continuously evolving our recruitment processes to ensure fairness and are open to accommodating any needs you might have.

For any other non-disability related questions, please reach out to our Talent Partners.

We’re looking for an experienced Content Designer to join our growing team at Depop.
You’ll work across several squads in our Supply and Marketplace pillars, helping make Depop the easiest place for sellers of all kinds to turn their items into shoppable inventory. You’ll also support other experience areas as needed.
You’ll bring content expertise, a user-focused mindset and a collaborative spirit to deliver impact, delight users and help shape the product that's making fashion circular.

Responsibilities

  • Own content end-to-end for your experience area(s) across the Depop apps (iOS & Android) and Depop.com

  • Partner closely with designers, researchers, product managers and engineers to ship impactful work you’re proud of

  • Use feedback and user testing results to iterate effectively

  • Elevate content quality, defining what good looks like with your teams and providing guidance to non-writers, where necessary

  • Work with legal and regulatory teams to make sure content you write is compliant with industry standards and regulations, where necessary

  • Contribute to the evolution of content standards at Depop, including writing guidelines and content design best practices

Requirements

  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of digital products and platforms

  • Strong experience as a UX Writer/Content Designer

  • Experience writing for a US audience, or localising your content

  • You’re able to balance key user needs with business objectives

  • You have a strong understanding of UX design principles and how content influences user behaviour and interaction

  • You’re able to justify your copy decisions with user research, competitor research or UX best practices

  • You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of particular squads where necessary

  • You have strong organisational skills and thrive in an environment that requires you to manage multiple projects, with several teams, simultaneously

  • You’re proficient in Figma and know when AI can and can’t help you produce your best work

Heads up, this role probably isn’t for you if:

  • Your experience is mostly in marketing content, advertising, copywriting or journalism – and you have no hands-on experience of content design or working in UX

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
