We have an exciting, permanent opportunity for an Actuarial Consultant, Consulting Actuary or Senior Consulting Actuary for our Amersham office (hybrid working) as we continue to grow. We have opportunities at varying levels from Actuarial Consultant through to Senior Consulting Actuary across the UK so please get in touch even if you feel this position or location isn't quite right for you.

Perhaps you are early in your career (only having started exams or part-qualified) and looking for the next development opportunity, or perhaps you’re experienced and keen to pursue a consulting role. You may be working towards being a Scheme Actuary or Corporate Actuary, developing your own portfolio of appointments. We offer traditional, non-traditional routes and split roles with fantastic support, tailored development and progression at all levels, regardless of where you are on your career pathway.

Our services are designed to support trustees and employers by delivering pragmatic advice which brings clarity to complex issues such as investing assets, de-risking, longevity, risk management and the impact of legislative changes. We undertake a range of services for clients including full-service actuarial consulting, investment consultancy and standalone projects such as mergers and acquisitions. We offer excellent progression opportunities through to Partner.

DB pensions experience is essential.

  • Check work of other team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with scheme rules, procedures and legislation
  • Identify opportunities for new business and assist in new business tenders, including participating in the pitch to the potential client

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
