The opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Community Manager to join our dynamic team this Summer! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing field of community management, as well as exposure to the cybersecurity industry.

You will work in a cross-functional team which spans the Customer Experience, Marketing, Product and to support, engage, and grow our online community across various platforms. You'll learn the fundamentals of building relationships, fostering engagement, creating content, and understanding the impact of a thriving community on a business.

You will also work closely with our cybersecurity SMEs and will gain an understanding of the latest trends and topics in the industry.

This internship will run from the 30th June - 22nd August 2025 at our office in central Bristol, UK (these dates can be flexible)

Your main responsibilities

  • Monitor our online community channels (e.g. Forums, Reddit and Social Media) for conversations, questions, and feedback.

  • Engage actively with community members: respond to comments, answer questions, facilitate discussions, and make members feel welcome and valued.

  • Assist in creating engaging content for our community (e.g., discussion prompts, polls, short updates, welcome messages, simple graphics).

  • Support the planning and execution of online community events or initiatives (e.g., AMAs, webinars, challenges, meetups).

  • Help gather and synthesize community feedback to share insights with relevant internal teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Support).

  • Assist with basic community moderation according to our guidelines.

  • Help track key community metrics (e.g., engagement rates, member growth, sentiment) under supervision.

  • Contribute to updating community documentation or resources.

  • Collaborate on various community-driven projects including events.

What do you need to apply? 

We are looking for individuals with passion, curiosity and determination who would like a Summer Internship in Community Management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable tone.

  • Genuine interest in community building, social media, and online engagement.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and online community dynamics (even from personal use).

  • A proactive self-starter with a strong desire to learn and contribute.

  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage simple tasks effectively.

  • Empathy and a passion for connecting with people.

  • Basic understanding of cyber security is a plus.
