POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Communications Operations Manager is a global leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Communications Team. This role ensures the performance, reliability, and readiness of all communications systems, including radio and satellite phone infrastructure. Reporting to the Global Service Delivery Program Manager, the successful candidate will lead a global team, manage critical communications programs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

Key areas of responsibility include team leadership, service operations, technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and emergency response readiness.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Lead and manage a global team of Communications staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational processes.
  • Oversee daily operations of radio and satellite communications systems, ensuring availability and reliability.
  • Act as the first line of escalation during communication outages, infrastructure incidents, or emergency situations.
  • Coordinate network readiness and system installations with TPMs, system integrators, and Radio Application Specialists.
  • Manage radio alias and queue triage, ensuring requests are within scope and properly resourced.
  • Provide direct communications support to the Office of the CEO, Production, Executive Protection, and other high-priority stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Radio Program Technical Operations team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as FCS and Executive Support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify service gaps, operational risks, and areas for improvement, driving continuous enhancement of communications operations.
  • Support planning and execution of communications projects and events globally.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in communications, IT, or technical services.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage high-pressure and emergency situations.
  • Experience coordinating with technical and infrastructure teams on system deployments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with radio systems, satellite communication, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Background in technical operations, emergency communications, or broadcast systems preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting executive-level stakeholders or high-profile events.
  • Ability to work across time zones and travel as needed.
  • A proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented approach in a dynamic working environment.
