POSITION:
The Commissions Specialist is responsible for reconciling commissions for multiple revenue channels, including agent partners and the direct sales team, on a monthly basis. This individual will own the new partner setup process, including soliciting bank information and W9s from our agent partners, reviewing contracts, and loading commission rates for new partners. At year-end, this individual will assist the team with 1099 partner data validation.
A successful Commissions Specialist will maintain a high level of accuracy in daily operations and be comfortable working directly with our partner network via cases in the billings queue as well as phone calls to resolve discrepancies. As a part of a growing company, this individual must have the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize for expected work to ensure the success of the team and the company. Collaboration is a key part of this role, this person must be comfortable working with other departments including higher level roles inside and outside of the organization.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Gain a deep understanding of the sales cycle and related Salesforce processes to support daily commission operations
- Reconcile commissions between NetSuite and Salesforce for both agents and the direct team
- Work with our AP & Cash Manager to ensure we have accrued for and paid out all internal commissions
- Upload agent commission payables into NetSuite and enter bill credits for clawbacks
- Manage the commissions dashboard in Domo and identify discrepancies between Salesforce and NetSuite
- Host monthly agent commissions meeting with our CFO, explaining commission fluctuations across all agent types
- Complete new partner setup including loading commissions rates for partners, request bank information and W9s
- Process agent commission payments between 20-25th of each month
- Support any agent and direct commission spiff programs throughout the year
- Reconcile deferred agent & direct commission on a monthly basis for ASC340
- Provide excellent customer service to our partner network regarding commission discrepancies and the commissions dashboard
- This individual will co-own the billings support queue and AskFinance slack channel with our Senior Billings Specialist, and serve as a backup for billing functions
- Ad hoc projects as necessary including audit support and continuous process improvements

- You’re proficient in Salesforce, nice to have but can train
- You have used Netsuite, nice to have but can train
This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The salary range for our Commissions Specialist role is $60,000-65,000 annually.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and our generous benefits package (including unlimited PTO!)
