About ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs is a research and product company defining the frontier of Audio AI. Millions of individuals use ElevenLabs to read articles, voice over their videos, and reclaim voices lost from disability. And the leading developers and enterprises use ElevenLabs to create Conversational AI agents for support, sales, and education.

ElevenLabs launched in January 2023 with the first AI model to cross the threshold of human-like speech. In January 2025, we raised a $180 million Series C round, valuing ElevenLabs at $3.3 billion. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and ICONIQ Growth, with continued support from the leading names in tech, including Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, Oculus VR co-founder Brendan Iribe, DeepMind and Inflection co-founder Mustafa Suleyman, and many others.

ElevenLabs is only 2 years old and scaling rapidly. We are just getting started. If you want to work hard and have an incredible impact, we would love to hear from you.

How we work
  • High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.

  • Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.

  • AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations.

  • Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.

  • Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location. We are remote first with optional in-person offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Warsaw.

What we offer
  • Learning & development: Annual discretionary stipend towards professional development.

  • Social travel: Annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.

  • Annual company offsite: We bring the entire company together at a new location every year.

  • Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.

  • Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join our Legal Team in the UK or Ireland. In this role, you will support complex commercial transactions across Europe, including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships, while helping the company navigate diverse legal and regulatory frameworks in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. You will work closely with global colleagues to provide practical, business-oriented advice that enables growth while managing risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and close complex commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners across Europe.

  • Partner with regional sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement strategies that support high-growth go-to-market initiatives.

  • Monitor and interpret evolving European legal and regulatory developments, including data protection, technology, and AI-related frameworks, and apply this knowledge to contract drafting and risk assessment.

  • Develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, playbooks, and policies to reflect regional requirements and industry best practices.

  • Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice to cross-functional teams, balancing innovation with regulatory compliance.

  • Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function across Europe, fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture.

Who you are
  • Curious about the future of AI and emerging technologies, with enthusiasm for applying your legal expertise to cutting-edge products.

  • Experienced in navigating fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the ability to manage ambiguity and make informed, timely decisions.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global colleagues.

  • Proactive, business-minded, and committed to delivering practical solutions that support both compliance and commercial success.

What you bring
  • A qualified lawyer in Ireland, the UK, or another common law jurisdiction, with the ability to practice in your location.

  • 6-12 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience (in-house experience in technology or SaaS strongly preferred).

  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial contracts, SaaS and software licensing, technology transactions, data protection, and intellectual property, with particular familiarity with GDPR and other European regulatory frameworks.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and collaborating effectively with global stakeholders.

  • Deep interest in the future of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with a proactive, pragmatic approach to legal and regulatory issues.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
