About the role

We are seeking a proactive, curious and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This individual will be key in driving change in our commercial division, pushing increased transparency, data driven decision making and better sales efficiency. The ideal candidate will be analytical, technical, a self-starter, able to work closely with sales teams, and have a knack for understanding the story behind the numbers. This is a high visibility role, working directly with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and SVP Finance.

What the role involves 

  • Leading on the use of sales data, while working closely with the sales leadership team to provide actionable recommendations and continuously refine sales strategies.
  • Building strong hypotheses around what commercial changes could impact performance, whether in sales tactics, product offerings, or pricing, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Diving deep into the performance data to help answer key questions and establish the root causes behind shifts in sales performance.

Additional day to day responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize the sales pipeline as it nears the sales commitment phase. Stay closely aligned with sales teams to ensure up-to-date tracking of prospects, successful customers, and at-risk accounts.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting for the Board, Leadership Team (LT), Sales, Finance, and the broader company. Report on metrics to track performance and drive transparency.
Requirements

About you 

  • Ability to prepare for and lead high quality meetings reviewing clear and actionable sales information.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including financial modeling and trend identification. Ability to interpret and act upon complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay complex data in an understandable way. Comfortable presenting to various stakeholders, including the LT.
  • Experience with sales tools like Salesforce, CRM systems, and other data management platforms. Proficiency in Excel and other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Capable of navigating grey areas and proactively identifying solutions to data-related challenges. Skilled in managing ambiguity and delivering results.
  • Understanding of the broader market dynamics, including competitor performance, industry trends, and revenue performance. Experience in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and get involved in both strategic and operational tasks. No task is too big or too small.
