As a Collections Manager, you'll manage and support the day to day activities of the Corporate and Internationals Collection Team, with the monthly rolling goal of achieving Cash Target, and minimising aged and bad debt utilising the tools provided. Promoting and ensuring consistency of communication and information, working in partnership with internal stake holders and providing a high level of customer service.

What you will do

  • Keep a sustained daily/monthly drive towards achieving cash targets
  • Work closely with the Head Collections and Team 1 Collections Manager to support initiatives and process improvement
  • Not accepting of the status quo - it cannot be done
  • Ensure full adoption of GETPAID and be the Day to Day Owner
  • Promote the consistent use and interpretation of Dispute Codes
  • Lead with and set the standard for great communication, both written and verbal
  • Maintain professional standards with co-workers and other teams even under provocation
  • Understand and act on, if an email trail is not getting a resolution or answer to a question or request
  • Schedule regulated mandated checks of Credit services inbox for order release
  • Maintain Customer accounts within the designated credit limit and aged debt profile
  • Set up targeted Customer improvement calls with sales when and where necessary
  • Maintain regular meetings with sales managers and other stakeholders
  • Prompt referral of default payments for litigation
  • Jointly manage integrity and accuracy of sales ledger for collection purposes
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly Credit reports and cash forecasting / target setting
  • Assist with month end close processes
  • Day-to-day management of direct reports - Encouraging and supporting
  • Developing the team both top performers and those requiring performance improvement plans
  • Undertake weekly 1-2-1's & team meetings
  • Undertake frequent ledger reviews with targeted actions
  • Act as initial point of escalation
  • Drive engagement across teams
  • Assist with training and development
  • Manage PMP process

What we expect of you

  • Senior level experience of Credit Control processes
  • Understand the big picture, where you fit in and what you can do to make a difference
  • Analytical skills - The ability to take a step back from a re-occurring problem or issue and seek a solution or fix
  • Understand and be able to articulate complex situations impacting payment
  • Promote a team environment, in a fast moving industry
  • Commercial understanding of the role of Credit in Industry
  • Close working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Competent IT skills, Excel and GETPAID (preferable)
