We have an exciting opportunity for an Indirect Buyer to join Norgine.

The person holding this position will report to our Procurement Director and be a member of the purchasing team.

Requirements
Main Tasks

Category management related project, sourcing, tendering, (contract) negotiation and supplier management activities.

Act as point of contact for and work closely with stakeholders.

Other related tasks such as:

  • Stakeholder identification
  • Category purchasing strategy co-creation
  • Successful cross-site strategy implementation
  • Responsibilities as required by Head of Direct/Indirect Purchasing (e.g. Genie, E1, spend data)
  • Management of dashboard


Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Benchmark current cost levels and KPIs
  • Management of global purchasing strategies and projects
  • Deliver against and Improve uponkey objectives of cost, service, quality and other targets
  • Communicate effectively and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Initiate and co-implement problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate the creation and delivery of the ‘One Norgine’ culture and participate in purchasing process development and team leadership activity


Complexity and Accountability

The role involves the management of cross-functional activity in a multi-site, pan-European environment. Although global structures exist, stakeholder behaviours are often locally driven and must be managed accordingly.

The job holder is accountable for delivering agreed tasks and identifying any further steps required for successful implementation of projects or category related change.  Project accountability remains with the Head of Direct/Indirect Purchasing unless otherwise agreed.


Relationships

Identification and maintenance of effective relationships with key stakeholders (including budget holders, ‘user’ functions) and the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional team members is critical as change must be managed across all markets and all functions in the business.


Knowledge, Skills and Location

Fluent English and a proven track record in delivery of projects in a tactically driven environment is essential.
