Job Title: Business Finance Lead for Europe Public Financing & Solutions

The European Rates business trades products linked to interest rates, long term FX, multi-correlation and provides financing solutions. The business supports a wide spectrum of clients including Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Corporates, Broker/Dealers and internal clients.
You will be ultimately responsible for the completeness, accuracy and timely delivery of the Financial Statements and disclosures related to the business. This includes accountability for the full suite of F2B controls covering Financial & Regulatory reporting.
You will be the primary Finance face-off to the business, partnering through insightful & relevant analysis, providing commentary and advice on accounting & regulatory matters to enable informed decision making. It also closely liaises with multiple stakeholders incl. MVRM, TPAG & other departments.

Your key responsibilities
- Oversight of Revenue, Leverage, RWA, and financials (IFRS/HGB) for specific desks, providing support and control.
- Support new product/trade activity (NPA/NTA), including IFRS9 HTC and HTC&S.
- Engage stakeholders across Finance, MVRM, Front Office, Operations, and TDI.
- Drives change agenda to drive efficiencies and enhance controls.
- Provides SME input and guidance on key projects (infrastructure, regulatory, accounting).
- Managing a global review for Regulatory Trading/Banking Book (Global Rates) to ensure policy compliance and adopt new regulatory changes (e.g., FRTB).
Your skills and experience
- This is a diverse role and will suit a dynamic and articulate person with a desire to work in a complex and challenging environment. Intellectual curiosity towards business drivers and resource management.
- Strong control focus to strengthen the control environment in a cost-conscious manner with knowledge of FIC products and IFRS9 business models.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentational skills. Excellent influencing skills with stakeholders and cross-functional/geographically distributed teams.
- Well-honed organisational skills and ability to co-ordinate activities across multiple different front office and infrastructure groups.
- Strong understanding of front to back data flows, expected controls and financial and regulatory reporting landscape. Knowledge of ledger flows for financial reporting, as well as knowledge of DB systems, Risk Engine and Kannon
