Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional Satudays.

Role Purpose:

The Business Development Executive plays an important role in growing our business by building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. This is a customer-facing role where you will represent our organisation, understand customer needs and help deliver the right solutions. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues and customers from a wide range of backgrounds, so a collaborative and respectful approach is key.

What will I be doing?

  • Identifying and developing sales opportunities across our full range of products.

  • Preparing clear and accurate quotations that meet customer needs.

  • Negotiating solutions that work for both the customer and the business.

  • Keeping customer records up to date and using them to support effective sales activity.

  • Sharing information with colleagues to maximise opportunities, solve problems and support decision-making.

  • Ensuring customer accounts are managed in line with agreed credit terms.

  • Keeping up to date with market trends and customer demands.

  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties to support the wider team and business.

What do we need from you?

  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role.

  • Good knowledge of building materials and the construction market.

  • Willingness to work across both field-based and office-based sales.

  • A full, clean driving licence • Awareness of Health and Safety practices.

  • A strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience.

  • Confidence using IT systems such as CRM platforms, Excel and Outlook.

  • Good communication skills, including face-to-face, phone and written communication.
