Business Development Director, Global Partnerships

This is a great job for someone who has a deep understanding of Global Wealth markets.

A bit about the job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for building Aviva Investors’ assets under management and revenues through our global distribution partners.  The individual will report directly to the Global Head of Wealth and work closely with the Distribution Senior Leadership Team to define and execute the commercial strategy for these partnerships.  The individual will have accountability for commercial targets and will be the day-to-day relationship lead for all aspects of the relationships. The role will require travel to spend time ‘in the field’ promoting the full range of Aviva Investors’ capabilities across public and private markets asset classes in collaboration with the TPMs. Within the role you will co-ordinate with key stakeholders across the business to optimise client coverage and commercial success.  This would include Investments, Investment Directors, Marketing, COO, Legal, Compliance and other business units where relevant. You will play a key role in contributing to the Product Development process by bringing new ideas and initiatives to ensure we are building and maintaining and effective commercial product suite appropriate for the target markets.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Regulatory threshold competent and approved

  • Track record in achievement in Wealth business, including identifying and closing deals.

  • Excellent practical awareness of regulatory requirements with a consistent record of practical compliance

  • Language skills, preferably fluent Spanish or Italian

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales, revenue and retention target

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
