We are currently looking for a Business Controller business area Private, to be assigned to the Mobility -unit, responsible for providing insurance to customers through car dealers, financing companies, websites, but also maintaining and strengthening relations with the car industry, development of branding strategies, testing and launching new service models such as UBI concepts, offering related services.

About the role

The Business Controller role is a key role within If. You will be at the center of the core business with unique insights, working not only in controlling but also within strategy and operations. Robust controlling capabilities have been paramount to If’s strong performance over the years. As Business Controller, you actively contribute to Private performance through a matrix position:
 

  • You are important member of Nordic Mobility management team setting and following up the strategic priorities and creating and analyzing insights while leading and supporting value creative actions and initiatives

  • Having a central role in developing and overseeing the Private business strategic agenda through business control unit, where you work closely with other controllers, business unit management and other key stakeholders

Your main responsibilities:

  • Supporting business by providing relevant insights and suggesting improvement opportunities

  • Follow-up operational and financial performance

  • Identifying and implementing key performance indicators

  • Automation/standardization of reports/definitions

  • Ensuring good control and reporting within Mobility business unit

  • Steering the financial planning, forecasting and reporting of operations

  • Advising and support Head of Mobility and rest of Nordic management team

  • Participation in business development projects

  • Business case calculations

  • Being a role model and contributing to our professional way of working

In this position you will report to Head of Business Control in Private.

About the team

Business control-unit is part of BA Private’s Control & Actuary organization that supports the business area- and business unit management. You will be joining team of 5 business controllers located in different Nordic countries and working in different Nordic business units. Main responsibilities are to secure business operational performance, enable transparent follow-up of operations and secure stability in financial results. Business controllers act as business partners to contribute towards enabling value creation.

You also have

  • You are highly fluent in English and at least one Nordic language

  • You have relevant academic/university degree

  • Understanding value creation in insurance, especially within Mobility area is highly valued

  • Previous work experience in controlling, business development or analytics in insurance, finance, management consulting or similar is highly valued
