Business Administration Intern

1 year fixed term industrial placement
 

What to expect day to day:

We are looking for a Business Administration 1 Year placement Student to support our Reception, People Team, and Finance Team. This role offers hands-on experience in office administration, HR processes, and financial support while developing key workplace skills. 


Key Responsibilities:

1. Reception & Front Desk (2 Days per Week & cover annual leave) 

  • Welcome visitors and manage the reception area. 
  • Answer calls, direct inquiries, and manage office emails. 
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and couriers. 
  • Maintain a tidy and professional reception space. 

2. People Team Administration 

  • Assist with employee records management and documentation. 
  • Support onboarding processes, including scheduling inductions and preparing welcome materials. 
  • Help organize employee engagement activities and events. 
  • Provide administrative support across the full employee life cycle, including Recruitment and Onboarding, Time and Attendance, Pay and Reward and Learning and Development 
  • Update HR databases and assist with reporting tasks. 

3. Finance Administration 

  • Support invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliation. 
  • Assist in maintaining financial records and preparing basic reports. 
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for finance-related queries. 
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of finance-related paperwork. 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 

Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, HR, Finance, or related degree with a sandwich year placement requirement. 
  • Interest in office operations, HR, and finance functions. 
  • A proactive and professional approach to work.
