Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced software solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software products.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, test, and debug components for distributed systems operating at large scale and high speed.

  • Own nonfunctional requirements such as scalability, availability, and security.

  • Contribute to the creation of unit and integration tests, ensuring high code and functional coverage.

  • Develop enterprise-class documentation for both internal and external collaboration.

  • Break down complex tasks into manageable parts, plan, and execute effectively.

  • Work closely with team members to elevate technology and consistently apply best engineering practices.

  • Participate in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3-5 years of substantial coding experience with Golang, preferably in a product development setting.

  • Strong programming fundamentals, excellent problem-solving abilities, and design skills.

  • Excellent analytical and reasoning capabilities, with the ability to visualize processes and outcomes.

  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow while building world-class systems, with a solid understanding of concurrency and multi-threading.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

  • Prior experience with high-throughput and low-latency storage, cloud computing, NoSQL databases, big data analytics, ML services, and large-scale systems is a plus.

Join Socure’s Engineering team and contribute to groundbreaking solutions that are shaping the future of secure and reliable digital identity.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
