Pre-Sales Consultant

About the role
We're seeking an experienced AWS AI/ML Architect to join our AWS services team and drive our global growth initiatives. As a key member, you'll leverage AWS AI/ML services to design and implement machine learning solutions for complex business challenges.

Working in close collaboration with the local (in-country) AWS sales and technical team, along with the local Regional Service Centre, responsibilities include developing white papers, blogs, and presentations to promote AWS AI/ML best practices, while mentoring our technical team. This role requires hands-on expertise in machine learning and a strategic approach to align technology with business goals.


What you can expect to be doing as an AWS AI/ML Architect

Project Delivery:

  • Collaborate with end-customers' AI teams to understand business and technical needs, leveraging AWS Cloud platform and AI/ML services.

  • Undertake consultancy assignments, analyzing requirements, gathering data, and proposing solutions.

  • Manage assessment, design, and implementation phases with a focus on quality and risk mitigation.

  • Document assignments and ensure smooth handover to support teams.

  • Provide technical support internally and externally, including leading customer workshops.

  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance AI architectures on AWS.

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models aligned with business requirements and best practices.

Pre-Sales, Scoping, and Services Development:

  • Lead or contribute to scoping calls and workshops, preparing Statement of Works.

  • Educate partners and customers on AWS value propositions and participate in architectural discussions.

  • Identify additional service and sales opportunities within Ingram Micro.

  • Evangelize AWS Services through blogs, whitepapers, and public-speaking engagements.

  • Support regional AWS service development and go-to-market strategies.

  • Collaborate with Ingram Micro thought leaders to drive growth opportunities and qualify designs.

  • Develop proof of concepts (POCs) to showcase AI solution capabilities.

In order to set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience

  • Experience in a technical consulting and business analyst type role.

  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written (English)

  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty certification.

  • Significant hands-on experience with Python, R or other programming languages and independently building prototype applications.

  • Experience with deep learning and neural networks.

  • Able to technically manage other people on large scale projects

  • Applies knowledge and skills through handling complex problems beyond own area of expertise

  • Ability and willingness to travel
