About the role:
As an Automation Specialist, you will be accountable for the automation systems performance and support the Production Department in the use of the new digital systems. You will effectively collaborate with the Maintenance Department in the troubleshooting activities related to complex automated systems and have oversight the commissioning of new or revamped automation systems. You will report to the Automation Operations Supervisor.

About the role:

How you will contribute:
- Ensure performance and efficiency of automation systems for operational excellence.
- Provide strategic oversight and training to production and maintenance teams.
- Evaluate potential improvements in automation systems.
- Serve as the expert for technical discussions on automation systems.
- Manage relationships with automation suppliers for installations and commissioning.
- Support Validation Team in CSV activities and periodic reviews.
- Coordinate problem resolution and perform root cause analysis.
- Promote continuous improvement and ensure business continuity of automation systems.
- Maintain technical records and manage relationships with third-party suppliers.
- Guide project support within challenging timelines and environments.
What you bring to Takeda:
- Technical diploma in industrial automation or multi-year and certified experience in the automation field (Technical degree in automation, electronic engineering, robotics or informatic will be considered a plus).
- Good knowledge of PLC (Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA (ifix) systems.
- Good knowledge of cGMPs and pharma/HSE rules and standards.
- Proficiency in Italian language (English knowledge will be considered a plus).
- Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with the team and peers within a manufacturing and engineering organization. This includes excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
- Prioritization & project management skills.
- High-level problem-solving / root cause investigation skills.
