We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to help us scale our financial engine and bridge the gap between complex inventory data and commercial growth.

🚀 The Big PictureThe Assistant Management Accountant will support the Senior Management accountant and wider finance team in developing and strengthening the finance function at ZOE. This role is a great opportunity to build core accounting and commercial skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant, you will contribute to accurate financial reporting, support process improvements, and gain exposure to key finance projects. The role offers strong development potential as the business continues to grow.

🧠 Your DNAHave around 2–4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (e.g. Assistant Management Accountant, Finance Analyst, or similar)
Are part-qualified (or studying towards) CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
Have a strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting principles
Have had previous experience supporting a year-end close and audit process
Are comfortable working in a fast-paced or growing business environment
Have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Are organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Have excellent Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) and are comfortable working with warehoused data and dashboards.
Are keen to learn and develop, with an interest in improving processes and systems
Have strong communication skills and are confident working with different teams
Are a collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Business partnering with the Operations team to support monthly reporting and commercial activities.
Taking ownership of inventory and cost of sales month end processes, and assisting with other areas where required.
Taking ownership of specific month-end reporting cycles, including journal entries and variance analysis for assigned departments.
Helping maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring key accounts are well understood and documented
Preparing reconciliations and gathering support for year-end audit queries
Acting as the internal point of contact for tax compliance, gathering data for external advisors, and maintaining oversight of VAT and US Sales Tax automations.
Supporting the preparation of reporting packs for internal stakeholders
Assisting during the year-end audit process, including responding to auditor queries and preparing supporting documentation
Working collaboratively across teams to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy
Supporting ad hoc commercial initiatives at ZOE
