The Assistant Accountant will optimize financial processes, implement efficient workflows, document procedures, analyze data, and liaise with external accountants.
We’re a FoodTech scale-up with over £25mill of funding, and we want to revolutionise food delivery through the creation and franchising of virtual food brands (brands designed for delivery), operated by anyone that runs a commercial kitchen - we think there’s about 70,000 of them in the UK. We offer kitchen operators everything they need to sell our brands through delivery apps whilst continuing to service their core customers.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Accountant with industry experience. Operating within a team of 4 you will be reporting to the Head of Finance and be part of the exciting growth of the business.
The Role:
- Manage supplier payment runs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Management of aged debtors, including reconciliations and credit control activities
- Balance sheet control and other key reconciliations
- Stock accounting :stock valuation, BS reconciliation, analysis
- Assist with Month End close
- Accurate management and inputting of data into various internal company spreadsheets
- Support HoF in year-end close processes
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance and CFO to implement efficient workflows.
- Develop and document standardised procedures for financial operations.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Ad-hoc support with projects, and general processing as required.
- Previous experience working in fast-paced finance role, ideally FMCG
- Working towards a chartered accountant qualification, or recently qualified.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Highly organised and driven
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Xero and G-Suite would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
