We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Amplitude Analyst to join our Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in leveraging the Amplitude platform to analyze user behavior, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations that drive product strategy, user engagement, and retention

Data Strategy & Governance:

  • Own the Amplitude data taxonomy, ensuring consistent, accurate, and high-quality event tracking across our mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on the proper instrumentation of new features, ensuring data collection aligns with business objectives.
  • Maintain and audit our existing Amplitude data to ensure reliability and trust for all stakeholders.
  • Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses using Funnel, Retention, Cohort, and Pathfinder charts in Amplitude to understand user journeys, drop-offs, and feature adoption.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards and reports in Amplitude, Tableau, or other BI tools for product managers, marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and presentations for non-technical audiences.
  • Experimentation & Optimization:
  • Support the A/B testing process by defining success metrics, analyzing test results for statistical significance, and providing recommendations for iteration.
  • Identify key opportunities to improve user onboarding, feature engagement, and conversion rates based on behavioral data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner closely with Product Managers to define and measure success for new features and product updates.
  • Work with Marketing teams to analyze campaign performance and their impact on in-product behavior.

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION/ # OF YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/ REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Academic background in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Business) 
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Other desirable characteristics include:
  • Experience working with Amplitude
  • Experience working with developers on “instrumenting” user behavior; experience in UI/UX research using quantitative methods
  • A/B testing
