We are looking for AI Specialists to join a Northern Irish English (Ulster English) voice evaluation project — a great entry point into ongoing work within one of our most active AI markets!

Job Type: Freelance
Location: Work from home
Work Schedule: ~3 hours (with strong potential for ongoing projects)
Start Date: Immediately
Rate: 15 EUR/hour (or 18 USD/hour if not UK-based)

Strong linguistic profiles may be invited to join our Transcription team for an additional 3 hours at a rate of $21/hour (or $25/hour for those based outside the UK).

Help Shape the Future of AI
This short project offers practical exposure to AI evaluation workflows and contributes directly to improving how AI systems understand real spoken language.

This role involves interacting with an AI agent through voice calls to help ensure accurate speech understanding and transcription quality.

You will participate in controlled calls with an AI agent. The goal is to evaluate how well the agent understands spoken language in natural scenarios. Training will be provided, and it will be compensated if the project tasks are completed.

Your recordings will be used solely to generate transcriptions for intelligibility review.
Your voice recordings will not be used to train, develop, or appear in any product.

What You’ll Do

  • Make scripted and unscripted calls with an AI agent (you will complete 10-15 conversations).
  • Produce clear, natural speech following provided guidelines (each conversation lasts about 5 minutes).
  • Test and validate the AI’s ability to understand and interpret speech, and report any issues with intelligibility or misunderstanding (10-15 minutes per conversation).

What We’re Looking For

  • Native-level fluency in Northern Irish English (Ulster English)
  • Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify accent.
  • AI Specialist background is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with speech recording is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking clearly and naturally in a variety of prompts and scenarios.
  • Must sign a consent form before beginning the project.

What We Offer

  • Timely, reliable payments.
  • Access to additional project opportunities through our TrainAI Community, where we regularly source contributors for similar tasks.
  • A short, flexible engagement ideal for gaining practical exposure to AI evaluation workflows.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
