As the Kainos AI Delivery Lead, you’ll ensure our innovative AI solutions truly meet user needs and deliver the outcomes we’ve agreed with our clients. You’ll oversee multiple projects, providing delivery assurance and making sure everything follows strong governance and quality standards. Working alongside colleagues, you’ll take ownership of the full delivery lifecycle and empower our AI teams to learn, grow, and succeed, always reflecting Kainos’ values.
In this senior management role, you’ll also help shape the future of our AI practice by supporting practice development, training, recruitment, and business growth alongside the AI Practice Director and Business Development Director.
What you’ll do:
Steer outstanding AI delivery
Set the vision for our AI projects, guide teams to success, and ensure we deliver great results for clients and Kainos. You’ll keep projects on track financially and work closely with clients to build trust, create success factors, add value and managing expectations with care.
Build and grow a brilliant team
Work closely with the AI Practice Lead to help grow and develop our AI team supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing talent development. You’ll inspire a positive, creative culture where everyone can learn and succeed, provide clear goals and regular feedback, and coach your team to reach their best. You’ll be the go-to person for resolving issues and will build strong, collaborative relationships with clients and partners.
Keep governance tight and quality high
Ensure projects follow strong governance and quality standards from start to finish. You’ll support health checks and risk assessments, and always keep information secure and confidential, setting a great example for your team.
Drive growth
Spot new business opportunities, shape innovative solutions, and help Kainos win exciting projects. You’ll also help share our successes and make sure all contracts and commercial terms are handled with care and compliance.
Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement across the AI Practice aligning with the latest thinking in Technology, Experience Design and Consulting. Champion innovation in AI tech and ways of working, both within projects and across the wider practice.
What you’ll bring:
Substantial experience in managing and directing project teams including people management responsibility.
Experience of project delivery aimed at digital transformation using AI.
Experience of managing large-scale AI projects involving distributed teams in a multi-supplier environment.
Evidence of developing and managing excellent client-supplier relationships and good knowledge of at least one industry vertical (e.g. Financial Services, Health or Government).
Broad technology experience, awareness of current AI technology trends and regulation
You’ll provide a high standard of customer experience and have evidence of securing follow on business.
You can demonstrate experience of working on bids, contracts and commercial terms on projects.
Highly flexible (including willingness to work away from home base).
DESIRABLE
Demonstrable success managing the delivery of AI technology-based projects including Azure AI.
Experience of user research, analytics and design disciplines and their contribution to the effective delivery of digital services and platforms.
