Salary: £27,500 + Benefits

Would you like to start your career in account management and assist our team in managing a portfolio of client accounts, building strong client relationships, delivering outstanding service, and supporting the growth of our Ireland Sales?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good general education and a flair and interest in commercial sales who is keen to grow into an Account Manager role.

 

The Sales & Marketing function is the driving force behind creating one integrated, customer driven company. Sales & Marketing is focused on delivering the company’s aims of becoming customer intimate and to delivering value to customers by:

  • Making customers successful in their markets 
  • Delivering operational excellence

  • Being responsible in everything we do

The needs of our customers are different in each market sector, so we have created dedicated market sector teams, such as Automotive, Industry Strip, Energy & Power, Lifting and Excavating and Packaging. This enables us to understand and support the customer through one team, and deepen our knowledge of the market, and of the current and future challenges of the business.

As a Junior Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Sales and driving a positive customer experience.

 

What you will do:

As a Junior Account Manager, you will support the other Account Managers in the team and act as a key contact between the business and key customers in respect of regular commercial, technical, financial and logistical support activity.

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day deployment of agreed strategies and tactics for a portfolio of customers and monitor performance against a number of specific KPI’s
  • The ability to develop and execute account plans for customers where required
  • To develop effective and clear commercial contracts and Service Level Agreements, taking responsibility for driving the implementation and delivery of these 
  • The ability to Identify opportunities, value propositions, methods of communication with customers and prospects across the customer base and the whole of the Sector

This is a people facing role where the successful candidate will be out and about, meeting with customers and managing their own diary.

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service (preferred but not essential)
  • A track record of building strong, long-lasting relationships
  • A good standard of education
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence in carrying out business analysis and prioritising effectively
