Account Manager

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager, a role responsible for the retention, growth, reactivation, and development of a group of customers within a given area. This is an office role and is not field based.

The role requires a candidate who will be:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable sales growth by exceeding targets within the existing customer base.
  • Stay informed on competitor activity and market trends.
  • Retain customers through personalised, proactive communication.
  • Strengthen relationships to increase our share of customers' business and identify new opportunities.
  • Keep product and service knowledge current.
  • Use data to re-engage lapsed customers and prevent lost sales.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Manage customer risks, including lost sales and credit issues.
  • Create account plans to maximise customer engagement and grow sales.
  • Study sales data and market insights to make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a structured sales or telesales environment.
  • Knowledge of the foodservice sector.
  • Track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Strong active listening, negotiation, and commercial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong planning, organisation, and teamwork skills.
