The Account Development Analyst is an entry-level role within our Commercial organization, supporting Account Development Representatives across all Clinical Research Group (CRG) service offerings. This position focuses on behind-the-scenes commercial enablement activities such as lead management, demand generation support, reporting, analytics, and coordination, allowing our sales teams to focus more time on customer engagement.
Join our sales team as an Account Development Analyst and contribute to business growth for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s clinical research services. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with Account Development Representatives to support RFP funnel growth by researching prospective client pipelines, identifying qualified leads, nurturing early-stage opportunities, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
- Manage marketing-generated leads and follow up as appropriate
- Create demand generation leads in support of the Account Development team
- Maintain corporate reporting protocols and support analytics and review activities
- Serve as an Account Development team tool usage trainer and provide new hire onboarding support
- Develop and support strategic plans to help drive Account Development RFP volume
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’).
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
This role is well suited for candidates interested in building foundational commercial skills within a clinical research environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong ability to develop a territory management strategy, identify and develop sales leads within the territory, professionally present capabilities, and collaborate with others to hand-off the relationship internally
- Ability to coordinate information from and follow-up with diverse sources in order to develop relationships with internal and external clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure professional interactions with internal and external clients
- Ability to collaborate and integrate with various internal departments
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the industry, the company, and functional areas in order to strategically generate leads
- Adept at sales automation systems and the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organization and time management skills in prioritizing daily activities and responsibilities with focus on target
- Maintain knowledge of CRO service offerings including clinical trial support, regulatory affairs, preclinical studies, and data management.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support lead generation strategies, webinars, and targeted outreach campaigns.
