Eolas Medical, a Belfast-based healthtech company delivering information to frontline National Health Service teams, secured $12 million in Series A funding. The raise was led by Acton Capital and will help Eolas fuel international growth.

The company’s knowledge management solutions equip clinicians with access to approved local guidance, policies and medicines information faster than traditional methods. Eolas recently launched an AI-powered search functionality that lets team members ask questions in plain language and receive results sourced from their organization’s internal resources.

Clinicians in more than 500 healthcare sites leverage Eolas’ solution, including more than 85 percent of acute NHS hospitals in the U.K., 40 percent of doctors in Ireland and U.S. health systems like Stanford Healthcare and Massachusetts General Hospital. The new funding enables Eolas to further expand its presence across the U.S., Europe and global healthcare systems as well as scale its commercial, engineering and clinical teams.
