We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team. This role involves delivering data-driven insights to support business decisions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both large and small tasks, and can help scale solutions as the company grows, while advancing your own career.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation in a consultative approach to understand their needs and determine the best data / analytics approach.

  • A trusted data expert, knowing what data is available, and which analytical technique is most relevant, ranging from tableau dashboards through to segmentations and root cause analysis.

  • Passionate about impact, whether unpacking the why, delivering optimal customer intelligence data products or delivering powerful insights empowering the organisation to be data driven.

  • Comfortable in “storytelling” and visualisation, delivering insights and recommendations in a clear, relevant and action-oriented manner to senior members of the organisation.

  • Taking ownership of the more complex projects, comfortable with ensuring right first time outputs on time.

  • Passionate about best practice, innovation and development, ensuring we continuously challenge ourselves and innovate.

Are we the perfect match?

  • 4+ years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst with advanced SQL and Python skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of curiosity.

  • Expertise in advanced analytics techniques such as modelling and segmentation.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and collaborative team settings.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in the retail energy industry, even better if you are familiar with market-wide half-hourly settlement.

  • Experience with Git, or similar, using branches and pull requests for collaborative development.

  • Experienced working with cloud platforms, to build data pipelines, ideally DataBricks.

  • Strong experience with visualisation tools, preferably Tableau.

  • Working environment: Flexible hybrid working – a blend of in the office and home working. 

  • Work life balance – we work Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM to service our customers and make sure they have an unforgettable experience. 

  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays each year – this includes a guaranteed day off for your birthday if you want it. 

  • Generous pension scheme (you contribute 5%, we contribute 6%, increasing to 10% after 2 years)
