As a Strategic Account Manager at Team Global Express (TGE), you will be responsible for leading key strategic accounts within our QLD Government Portfolio.
Your primary goal will be to maximise TGE’s profile, increase share of wallet, and strengthen customer loyalty to optimise retention and expansion. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager - QLD, you will develop, expand, and solidify long-term relationships with customers, ensuring key business retention and growth across the customer footprint and the TGE network. This role spans all business units, requiring active collaboration and solution development to deliver exceptional value and outcomes for our government clients.
Understand QLD Government customer strategies, future vision, and needs to position TGE solutions for growth and satisfaction
Engage with TGE Executives and customer Boards on strategic updates and commercial decision-making
Negotiate contracts, annual rate reviews, and terms with executive clients, both nationally and globally
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow customer accounts
Lead internal and external stakeholders through complex negotiations, onboarding, and solution development
Collaborate with Commercial Solutions, Pricing, Operations, and other teams to deliver innovative customer solutions
Proactively manage contract health, renewals, and financial outcomes
Prepare detailed portfolio plans with operational and financial reporting for management review
Regularly engage with customers to oversee satisfaction, volumes, and continuous improvement
Lead customer presentations and planning sessions using advanced sales tools and templates
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts, progressing opportunities within target timeframes
Embed sales methodology and best practices across systems and reports
You are a commercially savvy professional with exceptional communication skills, able to influence at the executive level. You bring strong experience managing complex, high-value accounts, with desired government experience and a keen understanding of government environments. Your ability to drive revenue growth, uncover opportunities, and deliver exceptional client outcomes positions you as a trusted partner to government customers and a key contributor to internal success.
Degree-qualified in Business, Logistics, Sales, or Marketing (preferred)
Minimum 5–8 years in face-to-face sales or account management
Experience working with government or large enterprise clients (highly regarded)
Advanced proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools
Membership in a relevant professional association (desirable)
