Role: 

We are seeking a Junior Platform Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our platform infrastructure. As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers to deploy, monitor, and scale our cloud-based systems while ensuring reliability and performance.

Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in the maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Implement security best practices and assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to system alerts and incidents.
  • Document procedures and configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to cloud computing and infrastructure automation.
  • Management of Staging environment to reduce the amount of errors in the Production environment.
  • Input into tools and processes to automate the operational activity required to keep the platform running smoothly.

RequirementsSkills: 
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
  • Experience with Linux based systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring management tools such as Cloudwatch and Nagios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience of Confluence and Jira is an advantage.
