About this role
We are passionate about the credit card products we offer and want to reach as many new customers as possible. We are currently in a big growth period and have large ambitions as a team. This is where you come in.
Working collaboratively with the wider marketing team, you will find new opportunities to directly market our products to consumers and help our business grow. As we work in a highly regulated industry, you will need to balance pursuing growth opportunities, while also communicating and appropriately managing risks. In all of this, you will be supported by a great team with shared goals and who care about your development.
What you'll do

  • Take full ownership of our new Display marketing channels using data, technology and insight to increase new conversions and revenue, while efficiently managing marketing costs
  • Explore new marketing opportunities - identifying exciting Display marketing channels with potential, you will work closely with our contracts and technology teams to negotiate great deals and run marketing tests
  • Think strategically about where we should evolve our marketing technology, infrastructure and processes - to remain at the cutting edge of direct marketing
  • Work collaboratively with our design, marketing and analysis teams to support thinking on the look-and-feel of our customer journeys and our products
  • Use relevant data to guide decisions - such as marketing performance data, customer and market research and industry reporting
  • Own the relationships with our new Display marketing partners - regularly monitor and report on their performance, and follow appropriate regulation, compliance and processes to ensure great outcomes for our business
  • Optimise all aspects of Display marketing performance with the primary aim of delivering growth for Capital One and excellent experiences for our customers


What we're looking for

  • You'll want to think about interesting, difficult problems, share your thoughts and make recommendations - and be willing to pursue and explore different routes to solving problems
  • You'll be a great communicator, able to effectively convey messages to our marketing partners and senior stakeholders within the business - and be comfortable working collaboratively with associates from across the business
  • You'll be able to work on your own with a proactive mindset - and prioritise across multiple projects and deliverables
  • You'll have good experience managing Display marketing activity - on platforms such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Yahoo or similar digital marketing platforms or DSPs
  • You'll have experience in a high-growth organisation where you are accountable for growth KPIs
  • You'll have strong reasoning skills - whether demonstrated through academic or professional experience, you'll be at ease with numbers and enjoy solving problems that present numerically

Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We're big on collaboration and connection, so you'll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
